Does GlobalScape WAFS support Windows Server 2008?
Will it run on Windows Server 2008 32-bit or 64-bit?

Thanks,
Peter.

Hello Peter,
Currently WAFS Support Windows 2000, Windows XP and XP x64, Windows 2003 and 2003 x64. We have Windows 2008 support on the Road Map but no ETA as of today. We are currently working on bring our newest release to market in the coming weeks and are very excited about that.

Thank you,

Windows Server 2008 R2 is now out.

Is there an ETA on Windows 2008 R1 support?  I've read that the problem is related to Windows 2008 not having a real "console" session (session 0).  Do the management utilities really have to be tied to the console session?  It would be nice to be able to connect via RDP (and not have to force a console session).

Windows 2003 is more than six years old...

Thank you.

Windows Server support is currently in development and may be included in the next release. The current unofficial ETA for this release is Fall 2009. These changes are significant and require a lengthy QA process, that makes it difficult to give an exact ETA. Please subscribe to the thread where product updates are announced to be notified when the new release is available.

Globalscape recognizes the desire for the agent to run as a Service to some customers. We do not have an ETA for such a feature. We hope that the current offering will be well received. We are currently as always working on improving the software internally. We do not know when our next version will be released to the general public.

Thank you,
Jason Reams
