Hi,

One of the features of the professional version of Cute FTP is "Site Backup (archival) - Back up your entire FTP server or a selected folder on a recurring basis and then automatically archive it."

Is it possible to use that feature to automate back ups of a forum? Basically I want to grab a daily back up of the forum database, and store it on my PC.

Well the "Backup remote folder" feature can be applied to any folder or file(s) on the FTP server. if you're trying to backup all the forum content (threads, posts, users, etc.) that depends on what forum software you're running. Most forums use a database such as mysql to store all that content. Some forum applications (such as vBulletin) have an automatic backup feature and can be configured to upload the backup file to an FTP server that you configure. From there you can configure CuteFTP to backup that particular file automatically.
