Get the final version at www.globalscape.com/cutesitebuilder or direct download at ftp://ftp.cuteftp.com/pub/csb/csb.exe.  I'll post a final feature list/what's fixed/what's not fixed shortly.

Great, thanks Brian for your efforts. Does the Beta need to be uninstalled, or can the final version be installed over the Beta?
thanks
Rick

Uninstall the beta fisrt.  You won't have to re-enter your serial number.

Well, just dumped my beta on my laptop and installed the new CSB5 and updated my CSB5 DEMO part of my website.

- The graphical buttons work just FINE now when you set your own size instead of maintain proportions.
- I LOVE the upgraded link abilities (ON ROLLOVER: remove underline, and/or change color of font without having to assign a background color! YES!) Nice surprise on this one.
- Tables still work just FINE in the percentage settings.
- Password protection is simple and easy and much better than Trellix's old password protection webgem.
- Adding code to HEAD section is terrific.
These five features alone make the program worth the update from ALL Trellix and CSB versions! EVERYONE SHOULD DO IT. Thanks Brian!

Now I have to change out my desktop HOME machine and OFFICE machines... Blech.  This is the part I HATE.....

I did still have 4 snags tonight:  BUG REPORT FOR FINAL CSB5
- Still could only use 20 fields on a form.  21 causes TOO MANY FIELDS ERROR.
- Flash inserted new way into a table still has problem with alignment.  See test 2 on this page.
- Items still get taken OFF the website when Save local copy of HTML is selected during publish.  I edited, and published with box checked, no problem.  Looked resolved.  Continued to edit. Then published again.  This time ALL my button images (stored in HTML-obj folders) were removed from the site.  I quickly edited again (minor change) and unchecked the box and republished to put the images back onto the site.  SO...bottom line on this one, UNCHECK the box during publish!
- Still have WHITE space on webpages. Set resolution to higher than 800x600 and view this page and this one.

Upgraded, of course I lost the host settings.
Fortunately I backed them up and restored them after the install

This works for me, its worth a try before you uninstall

goto start > run > regedit
file > export
to  export all to a folder as a backup
then go down to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GlobalSCAPE\CuteSITE Builder 3.0\WPProviders\OtherHost
right click OtherHost and select export to the same folder using a file name like csb other hosts

remove cbs
install csb 5
go back to regedit
and file import
browse to and select the file
csb Other hosts

and all your host setting will be there.

I just did your registry export, uninstall csb4, install csb5, import reg folder and YES!  All the folders and host settings reappeared on this home desktop machine!!!!    So on the same machine it works perfectly.

I used the same technique to load hosts onto my laptop from my desktop and it does not work as well (the folders do not appear in registry, but the hosts do show up in the program).  So I can not export from the laptop registry if I need to in the future.

Thanks DON!  You saved me a lot of work on this machine.  And it will be equally fast on the work machine on Monday!  THANK YOU!

2 more things to do:
1) Reset the PLACEHOLDER image that shows up when inserting code so it is not that HUGE orange and black thing!
C:\Program Files\GlobalSCAPE\CuteSITE Builder\PagePlug-ins\
replace the BuildYourOwn.gif with smaller image (using the same BuildYourOwn.gif name)
2) In CSB5, Tools, Options, adjust image quaility back up to 1, UNCHECK the box to limit image sizes to 810x810, and make largest image 1536x1024

Added a page to my publishing area for upgrading to CSB5 and included your export information and other stuff. Also updated my DEMO area to include more Link options, etc and updated the CSB5 notes (compared wish list to actual program we got).

You are welcome my friend.
Glad it helped.

And thanks for reminding about the smaller Build Your Own image, I forgot about that.

Your upgrade pages are very nice, great resource.

I removed my old CSB, downloaded 5.0. Everything open. There is a new serial number and the User Name is empty.

At some point it's going to want my username and serial number. My question: the tag line to enter serial number is greyed out..so do I enter the user information?

I did make a registry backup, not sure how to reinstall that information.
Never worked in the registry file, and it was kind of scary.
Thanks

Uninstall CSB 5.
REBOOT then reinstall.
This time you should be asked for your user name and serial number when you start the program.

After you reinstall CSB, if you did a registry export of the OTHERHOST folder as Turtle recommended, you can open your registry again and choose FILE IMPORT then import that other host reg file.  That will load only your hosts into the registry leaving everything else the same.  YES working with the REGISTRY IS SCARY and not for everyone!  I gave a little more explanation of the process on this page, along with some other options.  Maybe that will help.

  Hey Brian,

I was told that I could just download the New CSB5 over the CSB5 Beta version that I have built my site with. Is this correct?  I see by some posts that I have to uninstall it, so what is the best way to go?

Thanks,
Arky01

Sami - I am getting spam from spammers filling in my forms.  Is there a way to hide the html address CSB uses in the form?  I already have already encrypted my email addresses using your email encryption tool.  I can't find any similar tools on the web for html:// addresses.  Any help would be appreciated.

Please read this thread for options.

Unfortunately the CSB form does NOT hide your email address, and even the old ways of changing the characters does not work now (I will be DRASTICALLY revising the page you saw).  And the ways that DO work, will NOT work with the CSB form processing!  Their server looks for only certain things and if you modify the corm code TOO much in certain ways, the form server will not send the files.
