DMZ Service Monitoring?

What do folks use to monitor their DMZ service? We have HOSTMON that we use to monitor the application service, yet I've been advised by one of my co-workers to use something else. I couldn't get the AWE Services action to connect, either.

We use manageengine. Not free by any means but very inclusive. our tools team manages this.

We use Nagios. Not a bad monitoring tool for service up/dowm.. CPU.. memory etc
